It's good to be back!

Updated: 1 hour ago

It has been a long time! The time between each of these newsletters seems to get bigger, not what I had intended.. Yet I do find it a challenge to make the head space to write - something that I so enjoy - so I find myself not writing at all!

Let me be clear, I adore being a Mum to my energetic 5 and half year old Freya. Yet the reality of motherhood - solo or not - means some things have to give.

My nights used to be my fertile creative time - including writing these newsletters, creating workshops and classes etc. For quite some time now, come 9 pm I am exhausted. After bedtime, my “free” time is pretty short. So I tidy up after the day, maybe listen to a podcast, and try to be in bed by 1130 pm (early for me!). There is much left I want to do once I have an hour or two at night, and it frustrates me so much that my brain just doesn't work by then!

Now, a new cycle has begun. Freya started “big” school 2 weeks ago. We were both ready, although saying goodbye every morning at the school gate has been a bit tough. We are getting there, each day she is settling more. Finding her way - me too - getting used to the early starts the structure, the lack of freedom and nature that she had for 2 years in her gorgeous Montessori. It is such a change for these little ones. We sometimes forget that they are still so small, so young. They need school for so many reasons, yet I couldn't help but feel the tug at my heartstrings when she said despondently last week leaving for school 8:30 am “I hate it Mum, it's like a horrible trap!”.

So, I won't make any promises, but I will really try to put something out more regularly, rather than nothing at all.

What am I excited about right now?! Having some structure and more time!

I can't wait to host my next signature Yoga | Shiatsu workshop. I would love to see you on Sunday morning 5th October!

I'm also bursting with excitement about a special Yoga teacher, Sanjeev, who will be coming to Ireland in November to host a workshop for the first time!

Restore & Re-vitalise with Yoga & Shiatsu

Join me for a unique workshop combining the healing touch of Shiatsu with the grounding practice of Hatha Yoga – including postures, breathwork, and meditation. These two traditions blend beautifully to restore and re-energise.

You’ll learn how specific yoga poses activate key meridians (energy channels), and take home practical self-Shiatsu (acupressure) techniques to help with anxiety, sleep, back pain, and headaches. We’ll also explore insights from Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Yogic chakra system.

Suitable for all levels – beginners welcome!

Bookings open soon via my website – in the meantime, email to register your interest. I can’t wait to share this with you!

Introducing Sanjeev Bhanot, Yogalife - Workshop in November

ree

I’m also absolutely delighted to share some exciting news. I’ll be collaborating with one of my first and most influential yoga teachers – Sanjeev Bhanot of Yogalife.

Sanjeev is visiting Ireland for the very first time this November, to lead a special introductory workshop. He has a rare gift for teaching yoga and has trained thousands of students over the years – including me! I still remember attending his inspiring classes in Geneva over 20 years ago, and in 2008, I began my first teacher training with him in the Himalayan foothills of India. It was a wonderful and transformative time in my life.

It’s now a real honour to help bring him to Ireland. The venue will be at The Old Schoolhouse, Delgany, Co Wicklow.

Save the date: Saturday & Sunday, 15th–16th November. Exact times tbc. If you’re interested in joining, I’d love to hear from you – just reply to this email.
